Hello Im trying to sync my Akai MPK 25 to Acid Pro 7. I contacted Akai customer service and they replied "As long as Acid is sending MIDI clock to the MPK25, it should be syncing up."
I generated midi clock from options and synced it from the sync tab as a imput devise. any suggestions, I didnt have problems before with sync my hardware when I had a boss dr-880 or my alsesis sr16. Why am I having trouble with the akai mpk25? It seems more of akai b/c i synced my other stuff with no problem in acid before?
I tried everything and it seems not to work. I generated midi clock , and timecode, and still nadda. Any suggestions , oh and I can see my midi clock working when I select it on the timeline. so I know that midi clock is going out, but not to the mpk25. Any suggestions?

I agree with you that is all points to the Akai MPK 25 since you have done this successfully with other MIDI devices and ACID. There must be a setting on the Akai MPK 25 that you're missing. Are you sure that it's listening for MIDI Clock and not MIDI Timecode? Something about the settings is not correct.

Do you have another MIDI device to test with to make sure ACID is set up properly? Do you have another DAW to see if that works with the Akai MPK 25? These are tough to debug because of all the parameters that must be correct but just go over everything from the start and don't assume anything. Eventually you will find the missing piece.

Hi, I would try using midiox and maple midi cable as a go between.

http://www.midiox.com/

http://maplemidi.com/

good luck, looks like a great controller.
