Subject:Acid 2.0/Performer/ADAT Sync

If anyone can answer my two questions I would appreciate it. My setup: Mac running Performer synced to ADAT using MTC (JL Cooper DataSync 2). I also have a PC that I'm not using for music but Acid Pro looks like such a great program that I ordered version 2.0. There's no way my PC could handle 3.0. Question #1: Can my 300MHz 64MB RAM PC with an AMD K-6tn processor handle Acid Pro 2.0? I downloaded and activated the Trial Demo and everything seems OK so far, but this is not the complete 2.0. No Time Code options or Plug Ins. Question #2: Will Acid 2.0 have any problem chasing to MTC? Performer and my ADAT have never had any problems. I've also synced both of these to another hard disk recorder using SMPTE with no problems. There is a review of Acid Pro 1.0 in an old issue of Keyboard and while they loved the program, the one "con" they mentioned was "...sync with external MIDI devices exhibits some instability..." Does anyone know if this problem has been fixed in 2.0 and whether it will chase to MTC without problems? Or rather, has anyone out there ever synced Acid to a Mac running Performer and an ADAT? Thanks, Philip |
