Create a new project add a midi track. Confirm that pressing keys on my Edirol PCR-300 midi keyboard sends to Acid. Save the Acid Project without recording anything and close. Reopen the Acid project - now the midi track is dead. Playing the Edirol and nothing happens. But if I insert a new midi track that does get information from the keyboard. Close and reopen and that track is dead as well. What is happening?? Have I got some setting wrong? Kit |

You cannot just open a project and start playing MIDI. You a have to give the MIDI track or the VSTi focus by clicking on it so that the MIDI input is directed to it. Just click the MIDI track to give it the focus and start playing. ~jr |

Thanks Johnny, I noticed this some time later. Thanks for the confirmation. Is this different from the way Acid 4 used to work. I seem to rember just playing straight off once I'd opened the project. Kit |

MIDI was very different in ACID 4. You could only record one track at a time back then so I would think that a lot of things would be different. Glad that worked for you. ~jr |
