Subject:How can I change volume in one area of a track?

Hi:

I'm a new user.

It seems that I should be able to highlight sections within a track and make the volume louder, softer, or even mute it within those sections, but I can't figure out how to do this. All I'm able to do right now is highlight the entire track for volume changes, not just an individual section within the track.

Can you help me out here?

Thanks.

Jim

Insert / Envelope / Volume, or press Shift-V. You'll get a thin blue line running down the center of the track. Double-click it to add "nodes", which you can then drag up or down for volume changes.

Thank you for your answer.

In order to do editing of tracks created in Acid 7.0, in SoundForge Professional 10.0, what file format do the tracks need to be saved in in Acid 7.0?

Thanks again.

WAV is the best for editing.
