From what I can tell, SF 4.5g does store RIFF data in a WAV file format, but not a MP3 file format. I need to be able to grab RIFF data from an mp3 file. Do the SoundForge series support this at all? Any suggestions would would appreciated. Thanks, -Joe jhillman@ev1.net |

What explicit information are you trying to get? The only common uncompressed data found in both an MP3 and a WAV file is usually the song title and copyright (in the TAG field of an MP3 and the INAM and ICOP fields in a WAV). Since a WAV is a type of RIFF file, it implicitly is/has "RIFF data". MP3's do not comply with the Resource Interchange File Format and so would have no "RIFF data" Hex Freeside |
