From what I can tell, SF 4.5g does store RIFF data in a WAV
file format, but not a MP3 file format. I need to be able
to grab RIFF data from an mp3 file. Do the SoundForge
series support this at all? Any suggestions would would
appreciated.

Thanks,

What explicit information are you trying to get?

The only common uncompressed data found in both an MP3 and
a WAV file is usually the song title and copyright (in the
TAG field of an MP3 and the INAM and ICOP fields in a WAV).

Since a WAV is a type of RIFF file, it implicitly
is/has "RIFF data". MP3's do not comply with the Resource
Interchange File Format and so would have no "RIFF data"
