Subject:latency & other issues

The time it takes for me to hear a change in a track effect
is unacceptable (up to 3 sec) I have had up to 12 tracks
with 3 effects each and 2 master effects running stable so
far. This wait occurs with one track one effect or all.
Is there something in setup I missed that will change this?

There is a playback glitch that occurs when I hold the
space bar and click the left mouse button.

Is there any way to copy volume or pan envelopes within the
same track?
I have grown accustomed to copying the envelopes with the
tracks and having them there when I paste the next loop(s).
I would actually like to have both methods of envelope
tools available.

MIDI implementation was weak and much less than I expected
(hoped for)...I will still have to use multiple programs
for projects...oh well more money to all the vendors with
upgrades
