The first screen of the Beatmapper Wizard determines the
downbeat. But the snapping grid isn't there. So if the
song's downbeat is before the first note of this loop, you
can't set it properly.
Example: I want to beatmap a bass drum part. But the
downbeat of the song is the snare, and it's not in this
track. I know the first bass hit should be at .25 seconds.
If there was a grid, I could set the downbeat there, and
the tracks would line up.

There's not really a way that ACID can set the downbeat at
a sample that doesn't exist within the file... Here's how
to do this: Set your downbeat one measure later than you
ordinarily would (e.g.--beat three of measure one), go
through the whole beatmapper wizard, and go through the
beatmapper wizard in normal fashion. Then when you draw
out the event, just draw it out from left to right. You'll
notice that the first [approximately 3] beats of your
project are missing, because you placed the downbeat late.
Then drag the left edge of your event to the left, and
you'll see that they were just masked. Now everything
should be in time.

Hope this helps...

Wow. Nice fix. Maybe you should document this somewhere.
