I know Trentemøller uses Acid and Soundforge. No doubt a pile of other goodies as well, but I read on a cd cover that he loves using Acid. |

I must admit I have never heard of you :-) but I just checked out your website on acid planet and i am listening to one of your songs right now and am a instant fan. This is the type of music I want to make. can you give some tips to a sorta new user of acid. I have made some songs but they are not very polished I have taught myself what I know and cant find much training for Acid. I use Acid music studio 7a and i really want to become a much better producer so I can use my music for beds in my Vegas pro editing projects. Love your stuff Paul B Message last edited on10/26/2009 9:18:19 AM byEditguy43. |

Wow! Thanks for the compliment! I was just being stupid - sometime I do a lot of! As to your question - are you a member on acidplanet? It's a good place to start. Many people give high marks, and many are more than willing to give pointers. Write to me through acidplanet and I'll be glad to give any help I can. Or you can post the question in another thread here. There are some really good composers/mixers that hang around here from time to time. Now back to OT. I want to know who those famous people are? |

Back in the days Timbaland used to use Acid. But he only used it for loops. I'm saying this based on a picture of him in a studio where a screen showed Acid Pro 2.0 or maybe 3.0. Since then, I heard he works on a Miko (OpenLabs) that is Windows-based so he might be using Acid again... Or some other program. Most "famous" people use Logic or ProTools. I rarely heard these cats using Cubase, Sonar & so on (incl. Acid). |
