Hello everyone,

Is it possible to route audio out to my external and back in to master in SF?

Thanks for any insight.

Not if you're trying to do it all in SF. Even though it's multi-channel, you can't play & record at the same time, which is essentially what you want to do. And I don't think you can open two instances of SF and have one play and the other record. You'll either need to use a true recording program like Sonar (sorry Acid users - I never could get the idea of recording in that program and I don't know enough about Cubase to say one way or the other) or play the file in one program like Windows Media Player and record it back into SF after it's run through your external h/w.

This is another reason why i usually keep the previous version of Sound Forge installed. I can open both 10 and 9 (or 9 and 8, or 8 and 7, etc.) at the same time and have them both independently functional.

It baffles me why i can't open two instances of the same version simultaneously.
