Thinking about purchasing the Plextor 12/10/32s CD burner. It comes with "Burn Proof" technology. Will this be problematic for "disk at once" burning for "master CD" to be used for duplication? Also, please feel free to comment on the Plextor 12/10/32s burner. Thanks! Ted Fiebke efiebke@toolivenurse.com http://www.toolivenurse.com |

Ted, I have a plextor 12/10/32s, had it for about 4 months, I've thrown everything I can think of at it, and it has given me no problems at all, beside 4.5, CDA, & 5.0, I'm running Nero, clone cd, blindWrite, Hotburn pro, cdrwin, and that backwordsass app we know as Easycd creator 5.0, other then creator 5.0 I use a mix of all the above, this drive has not burned any coasters as of yet, I am able to multitask with it running and I'm very satisfied with it...... |

The "Burn Proof" technology is precisely for Disc At Once recording. It prevents the burner from making coasters even if you have a buffer underrun due to excess resource use. It somehow lets the burn process stop and restart if necessary without causing a fatal error which would render your disc unusable. You should have no problems with this CD burner for making audio discs. |
