Hi all,

I just got the AAS Ultra Analog $15 deal from AudiMIDI.com. This synth sounds nice! But... when I freeze or render nothing is recorded.

1. Record a MIDI track and assign it to Ultra Analog
2. Select render as... from the file drop-down - select where to put the file and the type of audio file
3. The file is rendered, but there is nothing in the file. No noise, no sound, nothing.

I also tried freezing the track with no success. No sound.

I changed to minimoog v and it rendered the file properly., so I'm wondering if the problem is in Ultra Analog. But I thought I'd ask here before I do anything else. There have been too many times when I was the problem.

Thanks for any help.

Try rendering the project in Real-Time. (My guess is that it will work, otherwise you would not hear it during normal playback.)

There are some plug-ins that just don't want to render faster than real-time. We will investigate, though I do recommend you contact AAS.

Hi Peter,

What does it mean : rendering project in Real Time ?

I'm a ACID Studio user and I have problem which is described in post :

"How to record VST cell sequencer".

Could You help me ? I can't find solution for recording VST like this but - as You have written - I can hear it during playback so recording is possible for sure.

Best regards,

Rendering in real-time is something you can only do in ACID Pro 7. It is not a feature of ACID Music Studio.

Explain to me exactly what you are doing and want to do. Be detailed.

Who makes the "VST cell sequencer"?

How do you have it 'hooked up" in AMS?

What version of AMS are you using?

The more details and step by step explanation you provide, the better I can help.

Peter

I just tried out Utlra Analog and it worked fine.

Added it as a softsynth
Added a MIDI Track and dragged a simple piano part onto the track
I selected the ARP EPiano preset

Hit play: No problem
Froze the track: No problem
Rendered the project : No problem.

Don't know what to tell you.

I don't know either, but the render in real time works fine.

But since it works for you, I'll dig a little.

I just rendered UA without a problem. I don't understand, but I'm glad.

Cue red face. Apologies.
