Subject:Paste/zoom issue

Hi,

I have been using Sound Forge for 10 years (vers 4.5, 5.0, 7.0, and 8.0) and recently bought version 10, but I'm finding its behaviour very frustrating at the moment. I will put my grievances into separate posts to avoid confusion. Anyway, my first one is this:

I often keep about 200ms of silence in the clipboard when editing voiceover, but irritatingly, when I paste this into my file, Sound Forge 10(a) zooms out to try and show the entire file. Then I have to zoom in again so I can accurately paste my 200ms into another spot. Again, it zooms out. On one or two occasions, it didn't zoom out at all, though. I want SF to hold my zoom setting when I'm pasting, just like previous versions did.

Has anyone any idea why this is happening and if/how I can rectify it?

Many thanks,
Walt

I see the issue. It should only apply to new and unsaved files. We'll get this fixed up for the next update.

As a temporary workaround, save the file once it has something in it, then continue editing.

The workaround works fine, J, thanks for that. And it'd be great to see a permanent fix in the next update.

Cheers,
Walt
