Subject:DV Type-1 avi files

I'm able to import, edit and save Type-1 DV files in SF5.0
but as soon as I try to play them back all I get is a LOUD
hissing noise. Upon opening the file again I find that the
audio has been destroyed.

Anyone working with DV Type-1 OpenDML files?
