Subject:CD Burning Problem

I just opened SF yesterday and did a project for a class.
The class is tonight and I'm trying to get a CD together. I
added a track to the CD, then I closed the CD. Then there's
nothing on the CD and the CD is ruined.

Is there some kind of particular file format it has to be
to burn it?

HELP!
