I can drag a file from the Explorer to the timeline and a track is created automatically. Is it possible to drag multiple files and have multiple tracks created automatically? |

If you drag multiple files from ACID's explorer, a track for each file will be created. You can then paint in each track. Peter |

That is not my experience, Peter. When I select multiple files and drag them all to the timeline at once, only one track is created for one of the files. |

I don't know what to tell you. This is how it works and I just tested it. I can drag any number of files to ACID's time line and that number of tracks is created (more if I drag MIDI files, as some of the MIDI files are expanded into multiple tracks.) You are dragging from ACID's explorer? Where are you 'dropping" the files? What type of files are you dragging? The more details, the better. Peter |

I am dragging from ACID's Explorer. They are .AIF files. I'm dropping them on the timeline. See video... (Sorry it's so big.) http://www.newaquarius.org/Level2/ OK, I can see that multiple tracks are created, but only one event appears in the first track. The event that appears is for the file that I actually "grab" in the group of selected files when I drag. I'm looking for the Vegas-style behavior in which each track is created with an event pointing to that track's file. Is ACID working as designed? |

OK, I can see that multiple tracks are created, but only one event appears in the first track I have seen this, but it is cause by a slight mouse move after /during the drop. The intended functionality is to 1. Create 1 track per file 2. Add those files to the "clip pool" for the track. 3. Wait for the user to paint what they want. Is ACID working as designed? Yes. Dragging a files to the time line with no tracks merely creates the tracks. You need to "paint" them. Vegas has a different approach. It does not have ACID's painting model. Peter |

Thank you. Guess I'm still walking that Vegas/ACID line... |
