I have AMS 7 and was trying to create a playlist or timeline that included various acid projects. Is it not possible to create a playlist of acid projects?

I checked to see if AMS supported nested projects like Vegas but when i drag them to the timeline, that project just opens instead of nesting.

Am I missing something?

Yes, it is not possible.

No, you are not missing something. ACID does not have the ability to "nest projects" like Vegas.

The best you can do is to render the project and load as a track. (This is essentially what Vegas does for the audio portion of a nested project.)

I need the to keep the Midi intact. Rendering strips out the midi instructions.

Thanks for the info.

When you render the project out, you could check the

"Save project as peth reference in rendered media"

option.

This will then allow you to load the rendered wave file into ACID or Vegas, and then load the project that created it in an instance of ACID.

Maybe not nested projects, but the end result is an association between the rendered wave and the project that created it.
