Subject:Frequency for Call Waiting Tone

Does anyone out there know the Frequency for the Call
Waiting Tone used by telephone companies. I tried 850Hz but
it just doesn't sound right to me. (I need this information
for a soundtrack, nothing sinister.) Thanks.

I think it's probably closer to 300Hz. I was just going by
ear though, I didn't use a spectrum analyzer on the actual
call waiting tone. The tone is probably somewhere between
300Hz and 400Hz.
