Hi, I tried to finish my project using the "paragraphic EQ" and its "Remove very low and inaudible frequencies below 20 Hz" option and the program (Sound Forge 10a) creates terribly distorted piece of crap, any advice how to fix this bug? Previous version (SF 9) didn't have this problem - best regards Wlodek

I'm getting the same problem. This seems to be new with version 10.

Ugh, confirmed, though this should only affect the low shelf and only when the cutoff is below 30 Hz (for a 44.1 kHz file).

This will be fixed in future updates. We are attempting to formulate a reasonable workaround for the interim.

Update:

Any version of sfppack2.dll other than 1.0.0.1342 will not exhibit the problem.

You can likely find an older version in C:\Program Files\Sony Setup\Sound Forge 9.0\xfx2.cab. The same can be found in Vegas Pro 9.0, Movie Studio 9.0, or ACID Pro 7.0 sub-folder, as well.

If none of those exist, you have the option of finding xfx2.cab on another installation CD or installing Forge 9.0 or another application (say, Movie Studio 9.0b) from the Downloads section. It can be a trial or an update since you don't actually need to run it. In fact, you can cancel the installer once the initial unpacking to C:\Program Files\Sony Setup is complete.

Then you just need to open xfx2.cab, copy sfppack2.dll and paste it on top of the installed version (typically in C:\Program Files\Sony\Shared Plug-Ins\Audio\).

Hope that helps.

Hi, there is another bug within SF 10 which was already in version 9, using the "Volume" option. Any preset for changing the volume level created by myself doesn't work at all, which worked perfectly in any previous versions before 9 and 10. Best regards, wg.

Questions:

Did you use Preset Manager to import the presets?
Do they appear to load correctly?
Does Preview sound correct?
Is an undo created?
Since you mention 9.0, is it possible that default wet/dry fades are impinging on your selection more than you expected?

Had the same problem with the shelf. Took me 4 hours to figure it out.

After I installed SF10 it also has created problems with ACID Pro 7 (which was working fine before). My time line marker (cursor) appears anywhere from 1 to around 8 beats ahead of the play point- makes it hell to try to edit anything. I have tried playing with everything I can think of- from latency timing in the options window to the master clock timings on the bios! All the meters seem to respond as normal; just the moving vertical insert point is off. It isn;t the processor speed either (I show only 18% on my CPU (Dual core at 3Ghz).

ANyone else having these problems?
