Does anyone know a way (or a plug-in/app) that will convert Real audio to a .wav file. I can't seem to do it in my version of Soundforge (4.5). I've trawled the freeware sites like tucows for an app and I can't find anything. Plenty of apps to convert Windows media files to .wav but nothing for Real audio. Any help would be appreciated. |

there used to be a program called Streambox Ripper which could convert RM to WAV directly, but it was discontinued because RealNetworks sued the company (they obviously don't want anybody to convert RM-files...). But you can use the TotalRecorder from http://www.highcriteria.com It can record the output from any software, including the RealPlayer. Fortunately RealNetworks cannot sue them for that, because it doesn't convert within the software, but uses some kind of virtual audio-driver. |
