...when I record audio from IMPOSCAR VST instrument/plugin. ACID cannot record the audio output of a VST directly. How are you doing this? What Audio hardware are you using? Are you using ASIO drivers? Peter |

I have the VSt assigned as a soft synth, I assign the soft synth to an audio track in acid pro and trigger the record. |

I have the VSt assigned as a soft synth, I assign the soft synth to an audio track in acid pro and trigger the record. ACID cannot do this. You cannot assign a soft-synth to an audio track. You can assign a MIDI track to a soft-synth. Perhaps a step by step break down will let me know what you are doing. Peter |

thanks Peter, my procedure is as follows I'll assign a soft synth/vst plug in to an audio track, then record what I play. when I play back what I have recorded, Ill get this reverb/delay on all the other audio tracks. example; track 1-5 will have one shots of a drum pattern-these are usually the wave files. Illusually have samples on a few other tracks. then Ill insert a vst plug in on another track. record what I play. its when I play this back Ill get the reverb/echo/delay type of issue on all the other tracks. |

I'll assign a soft synth/vst plug in to an audio track, then record what I play I don't follow you at all. You cannot assign a soft-synth to an audio track UNLESS you are using specific FX version of the soft-synth. You can ADD a soft-synth bus and a MIDI track and record MIDI data that will 'trigger' the soft-synth. If you are recording AUDIO, then it sounds like you are recording what is being played back as well as what you are playing. You said you are using ASIO drivers. I don't see how you can do this unless you have routed the output of your audio card to the input of your audio card. You should consider contacting our tech support directly. Peter |

"If you are recording AUDIO, then it sounds like you are recording what is being played back as well as what you are playing." that is what is happening. when I mute all the other tracks, and just play the midi file Ill also hear all the other tracks. so how do I record what Im playing with the vst plugins without recording all the other audio tracks? I did not see this in the manual. Message last edited on10/12/2009 11:38:02 AM byiamser. |

acid pro 7 I think I figured it out. I wasnt arming the track to record. I was recording on all tracks. once I armed the track with the soft synth the issue seemd to go away. is this correct Message last edited on10/13/2009 4:34:42 AM byiamser. |
