What is the best sound card to use with Sound Forge 5.0 that doesn't cost a fortune? It must allow me to play wav/MP3s and record in 24-bit. I currently use an Audiomedia III that was given to us with ProTools, but I was instructed to get a different one for a new editing station. Any suggestions? I'm new at this. |

treblepup, I don't know if there is a "best" card. There are a lot of good ones with widely differing features. Sound Forge should work well with most of them. If you don't need more than 2 channels to the outside world the new MIA from Echo Audio is nice. 24bit/96k. Low $200s on the street. Balanced ins/outs, spdif, etc. www.echoaudio.com - Doug |
