Subject:Mixing to new track

When I mix a few tracks to new track, the new track is
shorter and does not match up to original tracks. What
should I do to make them match up?

I tried it on acid pro and it seemed to be ok, what do you
have your time ruler format settings set at? mine were on
time only, and what do you mean by shorter the track is
painted in as long or short as you want it to be.

I've run across a different sort of problem with mixing multiple tracks using the "mix to new track" function: the resulting track sounds like it has been run through a vibrato or chorus effect, particularly when I am dealing with big files. Is this just a RAM issue, or a glitch in the software?
