Can Vegas and FCP play well together.

While I'm finding final cut has great features like live type. It takes me longer to edit the timeline and fix audio than Vegas Takes. Even when I learn the "fast" way, FCP takes several steps longer.

Can I somehow use a FCP batch capture list in Vegas 8 ?
and
Have the Rocket scientists at Vasst, authored anything (paid or on the web) on the inoperability of the two to play with each other well.? such as proper formats and codec choices, best practices, workflow.
Thanks
Steven

I don't know about FCP's batch capture lists, but we regularly log shots for one of our projects and Veggie Toolkit allows me to import it and then do a batch capture. (The house edit system was Media100 when I first started doing this, and now it's PPro. With Veggie Toolkit I can use their batch lists with very little tweaking.)

Vegas and SCS have no concept of importing a batch capture list. It's not a native feature of Vegas.

You could pretty easily get Vegas to import a batch capture list for SDI or HDV. I had a look into this a looong time ago and from memory Vegas only needs a simple XML file. Not a big deal to write some code to convert from anything else text based to that.
