Subject:Acid 6.0 automatically assigns FX

Hi everybody!

Have tried to find something on this, but can't find anything. I have latest patch to Acid 6.0 but this is what happens when I start a brand new "session" from scratch.

When I create a brand new and empty .acd file (or not) and add a Wav track to it, it automatically adds the Guitar Rig 3 VST Effect into the tracks FX patch, no matter how much I try to remove and close all automation and VST/DirectX FX routes, buses and patches. It is ALWAYS residing on the TRACK insert (not the bus or the master).

When I try to unclick it inside "VST instruments" GR 3 STILL shows up however, greyed out. I have to manually remove this plugin from each and every track I add. Even when recording new ones. I have NOT found anything in the help secion, manual, nor antyhing on knowledge base here. I have made sure that I do not have saved any kind of "template" that always opens up wav files with track FX added. I have even tried to remove GR3 and then ACID shows the panel of GR3 anyway, but it is greyed out, i e you can't do anything.

I wonder if anyone else have had these problems, or if it is just something I've forgot?

/Mats

PS. GR3 (Native Instruments) said they had nothing to do with this.

Set the default track properites.

Set up a track how you want it, then right click on the Track and Select

"Set default Track Propeties..."

Make sure you check at least "Track FX".

Alternatively you can select "Restore orginal defaults".

This is covered in the User Manual and the on-line help in the:

Userin ACID -> Track Editing -> Setting default Track Properties

topic.
