When I record into my computer, I cannot get the volume
loud enoung in sound forge. The sound will play at the
right volume through my speakers, but is barely even picked
up in sound forge (version 4). Because of this, I figure
this must be a problem with sound forge. Even odder is
that just days ago it was working perfectly. Any idea as
to what it could be, please respond ASAP, I need to know
how to fix it by the 10th. If you need any more info,
email me at eddie20@nhlfa.com. Thank you all so much for
any help.

Open the Windows volume control by double clicking the
yellow speaker icon by your computer's clock. Once the
play control window comes up, go to the Options menu and
select "Properties". Select "Recording" under "Adjust
Volume For" and where it says "Show the Following Volume
Controls", make sure everything is selected. Now
click "OK" and you will get a recording control window.
Under each volume control is a box marked "Select". Make
sure that the one under your source is selected and that
the volume is turned up about three quarters of the way.
If the music is too loud or quiet when you record it, you
can come back to this window and adjust the volume as
necessary.

I am using a Creative SB AudioPCI soundcard. I have turned
up all the volume levels for both the mixer you are
reffering to, as well as the one on the software included
with the sound card. I have went under the preferences in
sound forge and in the wave tab, making sure the correct
card was selected. I still cannot get any more volume out
of it. It is very frustrating, considering that this
worked just a few days ago. Is there anything else that
can be causing these problems? Thanks

I also forgot to mention that an error occurs everytime
that the computer is started. There error is in a file
called ctsvccda.exe. Though it is most likely totally
unrelated, I figured I should mention this just in case
this is part of the problem. Again, thank you.
