Subject:Acid Pro/SoundForge Vocoder?

Is there a vocoder tool that comes with Acid Pro (or
SoundForge XP)? Basically I want to record my lyrics and
then run them through a vocoder to achieve something like
Console's Fourteen-Zero-Zero or Eiffel 65's songs. If
there is nothing like this included, does anyone know of a
free program that will do this; perhaps CSound?

Thanks in advance.

There are a ton of direct x plugins out there to choose
from. There is a company called FXpansion that has a
vocoder plugin, although you may want to check with sonic
foundry if you have any questions on compatibility with
soundforge XP. You can check out their web site at
http://www.fxpansion.com/, or you can look for other direct
x plug ins at www.hitsquad.com. I must say though, that I
can not guarantee how the sonic foundry products will react
to some of the 3rd party plugins out there. And I don't
know what their (sonic foundry) stance on using third party
plug ins is. So be careful.

Sound Forge 4.5, Sound Forge 5, Vegas Video, Vegas Audio,
Vegas Pro, Acid Pro 2, and Acid Pro 3 will accept ANY
DirectX-compliant effect (I have yet to find one that
doesn't work). There are no legal stipulations concerning
the use of 3rd-party plugins. They won't void your
software. Sonic Foundry has no problem with their use.

I don't think sound forge xp will recognize plug-ins,
except for certain ones made by sf. check the product page
on this site

Sound Forge XP only supports ExpressFX 1 and 2, not XFX
1/2/3, Acoustic Mirror, or Noise Reduction. Like I
mentioned in the previous post, only pro-level SF products
accept all DirectX effects.
