Subject:Audio Choking up in Acid Pro7

Hoping someone can help me through this.

I'm working on a project & I've got 242 Loops loaded up but it's only using up 221Mg out of 2,047 RAM

I'm traveling at the moment so I'm working directly out of the internal Soundcard in my Laptop (Dell Insprion 9200)

For some reason I'm getting Audio Stutters when it gets to a section where it's playing a lot of loops at once.

I've been using Acid since the days of v4 on this same Laptop and I've never had this Issue.

I'm wondering if it has something to do with how I have the Playback buffer's or Latency Parameter's set but I have them both set on Default.

I've got my system optimized for Audio/Video but maybe I'm missing something or allowing unnecessary running Processors???

Thanks in Advance

What audio drivers are you using on the laptop? If not ASIO then for sure download ASIO4ALL, install it, and select in audio under preferences. Unless the laptop is several years old it should still work okay.... just need up to date drivers. On the other hand that is a lot of loops, and if it is an old single core laptop it could be running out of gas. The problem is not Acid, but the laptop in that case.

As far as your concern about unnecessary running Processors(processes?) Just download this free program for gamers, but of course works on audio/video, and that will be a thing of the past.

CPU %, not memory ....

And what audio interface, what connection to pc, what type of driver, and what buffer settings ? No IRQ clashes ?

geoff
