Since switching to Vista 64, I have to use alternate (slower) methods to do the time zoom in and zoom out. No matter what I do to my poor mouse wheel, it just doesn't work. Called Sony a few months ago and they agreed, it doesn't work. No help. Has anyone figured a work-around or any other good ideas?

wow that really sucks. i'm on vista 64-bit & don't have this problem. i'd be pissed if i did! no help or statement from Sony is really annoying. that's how bugs are handled. at best, they acknowledge the problem after you hand hold them through reproducing it. i suppose that's better than nothing but not by much.

Have you tried another mouse? I've had it once where the wheel didn't quite work as expected, but another did. Sounds really odd I know - but worth the trial just to be sure

Is it just SF that doesn't quite work right, or other programs affected to?

Thanks for the replies. The mouse works fine with everything else. Right now, I'm jogging this screen up and down without any problem.

It's a Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000. It worked fine with my last computer, an XP Dell, but no go with Vista. I downloaded the SF10 thinking that might cure it, and it does work a little better, but not much. I'll see about getting another mouse and trying it.

SOLUTION

I switched mice to the ultra-cool logitech performance mx and everything magically works. I guess it was the ms mouse. Thanks for all.
