I up-graded to Acid 7 and I have all the link ect. to install all the new goodies that comes with acid pro 7. I have installed Garritan now, everything seems to go fine (I get no error messages, it says successfully installed ect...) but when I try and insert a soft synth it's not there, and when I do a program search in windows still nothing. So how do I find/use this synth or whatever it is?

Please fill out your system specs and make them visible in your Forum settings.

It should be. You should try and uninstall/reinstall of it.

Make sure you download the update for Garritan.

If this does not work...

Is it in your VSTPlugins folder?

What OS are you running?

Where did you install it to?

If you open the Plug-in Manager view, is it listed in the

Soft Synths/All/Failed

or

Soft Synths/All/Unavailable

folder?

It is listed in c:vstplugins/garritan
I am using vista 64 bit. I have downloaded and installed the up date.
When I goto insert synth it is not there.
when i go into plugin manager under soft synths it is not listed anywhere. It isn't under failed or un availalbe either. I have just uninstalled and I'm going to reboot and reinstall. Thanks

I am using vista 64 bit

The Garritan installer does not follow MS 64 bit practices for installation.

Make sure that the 32 bit version is installed. ACID cannot use the 64 bit version since it is not a 64 bit app.

It is listed in c:vstplugins/garritan

Is c:vstplugins in your search path for VST plugins? You need to set this in ACID's Plug-in Manager View and have ACID scan this directory.
