OS: Windows 2000 Professional SP1 with DirectX8.0a
Pentium III 650, 128 MB RAM
Sound Card: GINA http://www.echoaudio.com

SF5.0 (or also Vegas Audio) don't even start. It LOCKS the
system in a RUNDLL window and I have to UN-POWER the system
and REBOOT!!
This is BAD.
Anyone experiencing the same Sh!t?

I have a very similar configuration (minus the sound card) and I have not had any problems running any of
Sonic Foundry's software.

Same problem!

Intel PIII 933
Intel EA81510A MB
W2K Pro w/ all updts
512meg 133(corsair)
ATI Radeon All in Wonder
Sound Blaster Platinum 5.1
2x40g HDD @7200rpm

System reliably locks up totally every time I use the
record or edit functions. Makes it tough to justify
upgrade. I have updated all drivers and versions for all
my Hardware,OS, and Apps. Uninstalled prior SF versions as
suggested. Only success is in SHORT edit selections from
wav files. Then the system usually will lock on the wav
save. I never had problems with prior versions; which I
have ofcourse uninstalled as instructed. Frustrated!

I don't think the lockups are related to Windows 2000. I
have not had any problems with my computer, and most of the
other people in the department have Windows 2000 and there
have been no major issues. Of course we also did extensive
testing on this OS before the program was released. Please
feel free to contact our techical support department
regarding this problem via the following link:
