Dear all, I am a new user of SoundForge 9e and I am having problems regarding latency that appears when I use the Preview option on any VST having metering systems. When I preview a sound snapshot, I can see VU-meters displaying peaks before I can hear them. What I observe is that audio is synchronized with the waveform, but not with the GUI system of VSTs. Does exist any option to compensate latency? Thank you in advance for you help. Kind regards, andrea |

This happens on DX plugs as well and is normal for SF. Once rendered, there is no latency in the audio. |

You can reduce the latency by changing the settings on your sound card. Most should have a setting in the preferences. Of course this is assuming you're using a real sound card interface and not some onboard card - some of those don't have adjustable latency settings. Jack |

I'm having the same problem and my RME 800 soundcard is set to 2ms.. Quite annoying this. SF channel meters are ok, but not FX or chainer inserts > same happens to me; I can see VU-meters displaying peaks before I hear them. Anyone ? |
