When doing music compilations, rather than going through and dropping in a Marker at the beginning of each song, then doing the Marker->Region->.WAV transition. SF ought to have the ability to at least search for levels approximating zero and automatically drop in its own markers. What am I missing? |

I know that seems obvious, but I haven't found any settings where I don't get 10,000 markers. I just want one at the beginning of each song. Message last edited on8/30/2009 4:39:29 PM bytheloniouscoltrane. |

Greetings theloniouscoltrane, Please see my response to your script request in the scripting forum. I think this is possible, but we need to determine what your requirements are for the start of a song: how long is the silent section, how quiet is the silent section, what is the threshold for the start of a song, is a simple threshold enough or do you need a certain time over a minimum RMS level, etc., etc., etc. Otherwise, you will get 10,000 markers, as you well know.
