Hi,

I find SF 5.0 much much slower than 5.4 thta is still
installed on my computer.
Why ?
It's so slow for everything (save, normalize etc...) that
I'm using more and more 4.5 now...

Didn't you experience that ?

Any idea, solution ?

Indeed it is! Because of this and the realization that 5.0
is not much better than 4.5 with 2.0 Noise Reduction
plugins, I dumped the update and went back to 4.5. No I
have CDA and a very fst program for those that don't need
the 24/96 capability.

To me Sound Forge 5.0 was one step forward and three steps
back!

Whatever happened to doing editing in RAM and other fast
things that Steinberg provides in Wavlab? Sonic Foundry
could have had a winner if they had only worked on using
the capability of new computers and lots of RAM. It is a
shame they lost their way and are neglecting the faithful
customers who made Sonic Foundry a name that was respected
in the industry.

I have the same opinion. S.F. 5.0 it's slower than 5.0 and
I cant use CDA. Worst of all CDA cant recognize my ide
burner but S.F 5.0 yes, but burning in 5.0 its a joke!! and
all the power features are gone!!

This is a known issue. It is happening because Sound Forge
is creating 64-bit undo files, which is a big drain on the
system resources. This will be fixed in version 5.0a,
which is scheduled to be released shortly.
