I just up-graded from version 6 to 7. I've got the code from Sony, entered the code into Acid just like it asks, I registered, it completed the registration and now every time I try and run acid it tells me I'll need administrative privileges to complete the registration (which I give when it prompts me too) then everything just disappears and that's it. No acid...no SONG i'VE BEEN WORKING ON FOR THE PAST WEEK....nothing. I un-installed acid and tried again...nothing....does this have to do with the RETARDED administrative privileges that Microsoft has running on Vista? Does anyone know...I have tones of work to do!!! HELP!!!!

Actually, the problem isn't really solved because I have to right click and run as admin every time I need to use acid, but I suppose it's not acid's fault, this looks like something to do with windows. Does anyone know how to get rid of this anyway?

You could try disabling User Account Control -

http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-US/Help/58b3b879-924d-4e08-9358-c316055d3eae1033.mspx

or always run the application as administrator -
