I have a client that has a product rollout next week and they are freaking out because I used Acip Pro and the loopd CD's to created music beds for their product. I have tried to tell them that I have the rights to use the music on the loopd CD's to created music which I own the copyrights to and can there fore sell to them for use on their product. any info would help a bunch...thanks alot. The way I understand it, and I'm sure this is true, any work that you create with the SF loops that you have personally purchased, is free to use in whatever way you wish. The only constraint (and rightly so) is not to re- sell the CD loops individually (or as a group) as your own. As long as your purchased SF loops are incorporated into your own personal creation, everything should be hunky dory (in other words, it's yours to do with whatever you want). Each CD loop collection comes standard with terms of agreement and so on, so be sure to get out your magnifying glass and read the entirety on each CD collection you own and make copies for those whom question it. And keep detailed copies of everything along the way to maybe protect you and your parties down the road. For any other copyright info at any time, check out http://lcweb.loc.gov/copyright/ . Any loops you make using ANY loop library available from Sonic Foundry is ROYALTY FREE, unless otherwise specified by the publisher. That's the only stipulation. Tell your clients not to worry. This is Sonic Foundry's policy. ACID IS A ROYALTY FREE MUSIC PROGRAM! MAKE AND SELL ALL YOU WANT!
