Can't be done - been there, tried it. iTunes uses the Gracenote online database IIRC for track names, artist name, etc. It won't recognize what's on your CDA burnt discs unless you register/place your stuff on Gracenotes. I have gotten lucky ONCE in the making of cd's of my old vinyl with the text and such that it got read by the online database. Got to remember cd text aka track titles is a Sony invention and not every cd player (either hardware or software) supports cd text burnt on a cd.

Thanks, Jack. Not what I had hoped to hear but I can at least sleep now knowing that I haven't missed that instruction in CDA.

Is it difficult to get your CD tracks in the Gracenotes database?

Or alternatively canvas Apple to have iTunes recognise CD-TEXT.

David.

Place CD in your burner.
Fire-up iTunes/ Advanced/ Submit CD Track names.
Fill out the details.
Wait about 30 mins for the cogs to grind at their end.
Check it's there
Done!

While you are at it you might as well load your tracks in to the FreeDB database as well using something like Audiograbber.
Cheers
