My problem is this: I downloaded and installed Sound Forge 5 beta and then decided I couldn't upgrade at this time. I uninstalled the program using the included uninstall within Sound Forge 5 beta. Unfortunately, it also uninstalled the complete XFX-1 plugin within AcidPro 2.0! It left the Express plugins, however. When I try to reinstall AcidPro 2.0 from the CD, I receive an error message stating that I will need to uninstall the updated version of AcidPro (because I downloaded updates here & there) and reinstall from the CD. Then, following this process, I would need to re-download the updates and install them again. Is there no way I can install my XFX-1 plugin without having to go thru all of this? I checked the CD and can find no separate XFX- 1 install (which sucks). Would appreciate any help here before I contact SF direct. Thanks much!!! |

I could've sworn that the ACID Pro CD's AutoPlay had a separate link to install XFX-1. Did you try that? HTH, Iacobus |

If it does, I can't find it. The install program won't even let me get past the first page before the error message alerting me to my attempt to install an older version is not possible without first uninstalling the updated version. I browsed the CD and cannot find a separate install program for the XFX-1, so I don't think so, but thanks for the idea. |

Boy, do I feel dumb!!! You're absolutely right,Iacobus. The XFX-1 install program was not on the main disc. It was on my disc that says "Loops" and I kind of looked over that one! Sorry about that. I now have it reinstalled with no prob. Thanks for your help! |

Me again. Well, I thought it was over, but then I discovered that the SoundForge 5.0 beta uninstall also removed my mp3 plugin! Boy, am I pissed! Has anyone had similar probs? I find this ridiculous in the truest sense. So far, have not located a separate install for the mp3 plugin, but will keep looking...if all else fails, will download an mp3 decoder from someone else. I sure as hell won't reinstall everything again because of SF's screwy uninstall program...don't they ever test these things?! |
