Let's say I have a little 1-second kick drum .wav file. When I add it to the grid, the event will sometimes not produce any sound (with a straight line instead of a waveform picture on the event) and sometimes it will work for a couple seconds and then just randomly stop working. When I zoom out, the wave picture on the event will show up, and then when I zoom back in, it'll show up as a flat line again. Will ACID only recognize acidized wavs? Or is there some setting I'm not aware of to make it recognize regular old wav files? |

One of the wonderful things about Acid is that it will recognize just about any audio file. And that of course includes standard wav files. Just a guess but perhaps there is something odd about the wav files you are using? Did you make them yourself? Do they work in other audio apps? Are they another type of file that someone has simply attached the ".wav" extension to? (happens on illegal torrent downloads sometimes.....) Anyway, wav files work fine in Acid, your problem is elsewhere..... |
