Drag and Drop drummer is acidized (or whatever). I have Drum Components and RADS Drum Loops from Acid. They sound good but they don't have the simpler drum patterns that I use alot. I do mostly pop and rock styles of music, with a lot of traditional kind of drum patterns. Do any of you have experience with these loops? What's your opinion? Does D&D offer any advantages? I don't want to spend a lot of time editing. I like using preconstructed loops as much as possible. Thanks for the help. |

I have the Rads disc. It's OK, but not much good for anything that needs to be funky. Everything is right on the beat, and the drum and kick patterns seem to be very rock oriented. Also, the nomenclature that was derived to explain the loops gets very confusing. Lately I've been using one shots for just about everything, with the exception of hi-hat loops, those are hard to create via one shots and tend not to sound very fluid. You can create your own kick and snare patterns, or whatever, out of one-shots and cut and paste those ad infinitum I've never used the drag and drop drummer disc, but I've worked with lots of real drummers I'd like to have dragged and dropped somewhere -- :). I'll have to check it out. Take care Erich |
