Subject:Can't get Sound through Record File

When I try to record Vinyl, I can hear the music coming
through my speakers but no sound is coming through the
record file of soundforge. I have been using this feature
without a problem and then all of a sudden, no sound. I
checked all the Volume settings I could think of but still
nothing. Please give me some Sound advice.

Open the Windows volume control by double clicking the
yellow speaker icon by your computer's clock. Once the
play control window comes up, go to the Options menu and
select "Properties". Select "Recording" under "Adjust
Volume For" and where it says "Show the Following Volume
Controls", make sure everything is selected. Now
click "OK" and you will get a recording control window.
Under each volume control is a box marked "Select". Make
sure that the one under your source (most likely it
is "Line In") is selected and that the volume is turned up
about three quarters of the way. If the music is too loud
or quiet when you record it, you can come back to this
window and adjust the volume as necessary.
