Hi
Just wanted to hear from folks using a control surface with AP7. What are you using and how does it work with AP7? I'm thinking of purchasing control, need suggestions.

Using a MCU Pro with AP6 and it works fine. Since I don't recall seeing any complaints on this forum to the contrary, I would assume that it works with AP7 as well.

The best overall control is provided with the Mackie Control Universal. Devices that emulate it also provide consistent control, but if they don't provide a LCD or LED "screen" then much of the functionality will not be available on these types of devices.

If you are looking for basic level control - not mix automation - the Frontier Design Tranzport is great.

The generic control driver in ACID permits you to set up just about any MIDI keyboard to perform basic transport and mix control.

ACID Pro 7 does have some issues with controllers of any kind. The Fast Fwd and Rew functionality of the typical transport is broken. This will be corrected in a future update.

Me, too. Insted of a control surface, I wish I had the option of making the screen buttons larger.

Another Behringer BCF2000 user here. Works well enough. I use the Mackie emulation mode. I haven't delved into all it can do though. I'm at times also finding a mouse to be easier too at times...it really depends on the project and the number of tracks.
