I had one of the Samson USB mic's and could not get it to really work with anything. Acid will work fine with any "normal" mic (condenser ,etc)... just stay away from the USB mic's.... |

There's some info about the USB mics in a thread from a couple months ago: http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?MessageID=654844&Replies=2 |

Actually I do not. I bought a condenser mic, and plug it in directly to my sound card. I use a converter to make it a phono plug, since I use an old m-audio 2496 sound card.... but the important thing is to forget about any USB mic, it is just too much trouble. |

I've had my Samson G Track mic for a year now, and I haven't had any problems. All I do is assign it to an input bus, route the audio track on which I'm putting vocals to the input bus and away I go. Ok, so my vocals are recorded out of sync when I use it, but I don't think that's got anything to do with the mic (something I'm actually searching for here in the forums.). One. D-Rik |
