Subject:Space "always" added when saving as MP3?

It's probably me, but everytime I save a WAV as an MP3, SF5
adds space(s) to the file... which makes them no-longer
loopable.
I've trimmed & re-saved numerous times and when I re-
open... ta-da... there's the "new space" at the start & end
of the clip.
Could someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

You're doing nothing wrong. This happens when you convert
a file to an mp3 and there is no way to avoid it. Convert
the mp3's to wav files to be make loops.
