Subject:Vista SP2 Now Acid Pro 7 project plays too fast?

Upgraded to SP2 now one of my projects in Acid Pro 7 makes me sound like a fat chipmunk, it is obviously sped up but just enough to be annoying. Drums are Addictive drums, vocals and guitars were recorded on a Tascam Digital Portastudio 2488mkII and imported the wav files from that. I have another older project, different song but same method of Drums and Recording that does not speed up.
Anyone have any clue how to resolve this, I really don't want to re-mix this song.

Not to belabor the obvious, but have you tried turning down the tempo?

I should have stated that... yes, I turned down the tempo, the wav files I imported are not acidized as many are vocals, solos etc that are difficult with the acidizer to determine any beats. So the wav files are one shot, all recorded at 106bpm, which Acid is of course set to, I slowed it down and the Midi drums slowed down... the wav files did not, I still sound like a fat chipmunk singing to offset drums.
Thanks for responding however!

The thing that really blows my mind is that when whatever was altered, it altered how it reads the wav files and the tempo of the drums... it is all too fast even though the tempo slider is still set at 106.

I can maybe see a glitch misreading wav files... but altering MIDI drums to match the new speed... my brain is boggled.

Exactly what did you upgrade to? A beta of Vista SP2 came out in 12.08 (7 months ago) but never was officially released. The only official SP for Vista is SP1. You need to go back to SP1. Vista SP1 works great with ACID (in my experience better than even XP), there is no need to test a beta OS.....

SP2 Build 6002 came out in May, upgraded to that, finally spent 2 1/2 hours with a microsoft tech, we just un and re installed my sound card drivers and now it works fine.... whew, easy cheap fix, just spent some time on it!

I stand corrected, they did in fact release it... I am not getting it as I see no reason for me. If it works, don't fix it :)

Plus Windows 7 is just around the corner!

Good to hear.

You should fill out your system specs in your user profile. It is much easier to help you here if we know what your system configuration is.

Thanks,
Peter
