Here is what happened: I recently installed an effect plug-in from an old disk. I installed Sonic Foundry Click and Crackle Removal for when I'm working with vinyl. Now, the Sony plug-ins that came with AcidPro7 display the Sonic Foundry logo and I seem to have lost some features of the Sony plug-ins(such as the ability to sync simple delay to the project tempo). It is like the old plug-ins took over the newer Sony versions. Is there a way to fix this? I'd like to keep the click and crackle remover, it really comes in handy sometimes. any advice is welcome. |

I think you will need to reinstall the new ones 'over-the-top'. Hopefully that will simply overwrite ( and re-register) the new versions, leaving the old ones that are not updated. Hopefully. geoff |

How would I specifically reinstall the Sony effects plug-ins? I found nothing on the installation disc dealing specifically with those plug-ins. I was under the impression that they were part of the general install. Would there be any harm in doing an uninstall and reinstall of AcidPro7? I uninstalled the Sonic Foundry plug-ins and lost the use of the Sony plug-ins they became attached to. I know, I know! I'm an idiot for having installed that old software in the first place but I really need to fix this problem. I tried to reset Acid to the default settings, it had no effect on the situation. |

Please refer to this document: C:\Program Files\Sony\Shared Plug-Ins\Utilities\Migration Tools\SF2Sony_readme.htm On your system. This was installed when you installed ACID. Please try what is decribed in this before you uninstall/reinstall. Peter |

I tried to locate this file without success. For some reason it is not on my computer. It is not in the specified folder and I was unable to locate it using a windows search. |

Just a thought: I bought AcidPro7 when it was first released, the original version without any of the updates. I updated to the latest version but is it possible that this is the reason for the missing file? |
