I have a problem when I am recording in Sound Forge 5.0. When I enter the Record Remote, and press record everything seems to work fine, until I click on another application, for instance Internet Explorer (however it happens with any application) and then when I click back to the Record Remote and it gains focus, I get the following error message. >Another application is using the sound file sound001. >It is recommended that you immediately close the window. >If you continue editing this file, Sound Forge may become unstable >Close this window now?" I can click "No" and it continues to record. This is still *Very Annoying* Any ideas? It never did this in SF4.5 Thanks in advance! |

I was able to reproduce this as well. I will submit it as a bug. Ted |

A colleague was demonstrating his new version 5.0 and we were both amazed and annoyed to find this "remote" bug. It seems to occur on every type of machine - the two I witnessed were an AMD K6 and an AMD Athlon .... A sort of work around...... Go to SF remote window - with a source application ready to play (we tried CWPA9) and click record.... then "play" on the source.....When finished, click the the "remote" stop button, and you get the annoying message. Click "no" and "close", and SF will have made a good recording......... worked for us...... This needs fixing properly - and urgently - My colleague was trying to get me to buy SF v5.0, but I think I'll wait....... |

This known and will be fixed in the 5.0a update which is scheduled to be released shortly. Thank you for the workaround suggestion. Ted |
