Subject:Acid Pro 6 - wont open AIFF files??

Is there a way to check what files Acid can open??

im sure i used to be able to open aiff on my Acid Pro 6?

I have installed quicktime etc but no luck? - how do i get Acid to recognise aiff??

Acid Pro 6 should be able to open AIFFs - mine does anyway.

Perhaps there's something strange/wrong with the particular AIFFs your looking at. If you want to post a link to a typical one I'll download it and let you know if my AP6 will open it or not.

Yes i thought mine used to be able to, but this is a clean install and it wont open any?

These are standard AIFF files from a Mac drive which my PC can see on the network.. All the Aiff files are there fine and mp3 open fine too..

I have installed the latest QT just incase it was this but still no luck?

I'm sure you know this, but thought I'd mention it: often when you copy AIFF files from Mac to PC, there is no extension; just the file name and no .aif after. I've also had problems with some programs not recognizing the .aiff extension, with two F's. Either way, make sure the files have the .aif extension for Acid to open them.

No didnt know that..

Just one more thing i suppose.... been trying to set up Acid and Soundforge and just had problems on my last PC (use mostly Mac now)

Ableton here i come i think!!!
