Hey everyone,

I was wondering if Sound Foundry Sound Forge 5.0 can do instrumentals and accapellas for mp3s??
If anyone knows how to do it, I would really appreciate it. Thanks

Instrumental is just the background and not the voices
accapella is the voices and not the background

I wanna know how to take those voices or the background out of a song!!

thanks

negitive on the procedure, cannot be done with soundforge,
I'm sure I'll be corrected by someone in the forum If I'm
wrong, but there is no way to do it with soundforge. I here
that there is software out there that does the extraction
your talking about, I just haven't come across it yet.....

Hi djfancy,

This isn't really possible, but you can try experimenting
with Sound Forge's Channel Converter function. Just choose
Process>Channel Converter to open the Channel Converter
dialog box. Then choose the Stereo To Stereo - Vocal Cut
(Remove Center Material) Preset. If your vocal resides in
the middle of the mix, this may remove some or all of it.

Best,
Scott
