Please help! I have Sony 6.0. This really worries me because my two day recording session can not be accessed. If someone can not figure out this error is there a way to open this project another way?

It looks like you are using Live as a ReWire device.

What you might try is removingLive from your system.

Simple way: Uninstall Live.

Alternate: Temporarily remove Live as an available ReWire device.

Locate the file:

Ableton Live Engine.dll

on your system. Move it (DON"T DELETE IT) to a safe place.

Start ACID.

Load your ACID project. If Live is indeed the cause of this, then the project will load.

Very interesting so I moved the file Ableton Live Engine.dll and tried opening the project. Also note this is happening just to this project not my others.This is now what I get:

Please anyone if they can help. Now after this error appears the entire program crashes. I have an amazing singer coming over for a session and need to open this. If I can't is there a way to open some auto saved files or something?

Have you tried resetting ACID to its defaults when starting?

Hold down the Ctrl+Shift key and then double click on the ACID icon (or what ever your normal way to start ACID is) to start it.

This will reset all of ACID's internal and user prefs.

Hi Peter,

I just tried resetting all my defaults and opened it up. Unfortunately, I received the same error. This is a bummer becuse the singer coming from 2 states away is here tomorrow at 12pm. If there are any other suggestions please do not hesitate.
NOTE: This is only happening on this one project all my other Acid ones open.

Maybe a corrupted project file ?

Is it at all conceivable to re-assemble the project from the original medai tracks ?

Hi Geoff, thank you for responding. I actually am rejoicing because I tried an XP restore and YES! I think it was some sort of problem with my memory. Anyways it fixed it and I had my recording session today.
