I purchased the Production Assistant, I tried to install US4 trial but it seemed to conflict with PA.
PA itself still works without problems, it's only the GrafPaks and BackPack that came with it that seems to be expired.
I'm using XP Pro 32-bit, and I only have 1 account on this PC.
Try uninstalling Production Assistant and re-installing again. This seems to happen when people install the trial of Ultimate S Pro but do not purchase it. The last version of the "Paks" that were installed were the US Pro trial versions which you do not have a license for. Re-installing PA should re-establish the PA version which you do have a license for. This is why a re-install should clear up the confusion (sorry).
You will be prompted again for your PA license key when re-installing so make sure you have that handy. Let me know how you make out.
Sorry, that didn't solve the problem.
The GrafPak-1, GrafPak-2 and BackPak-1 still claim "Your License has expired" and prompt me for a License key. I tried the PA key, and not surprisingly it did not work on the Pak's either.
That is after un-installing PA, cleaning up the registry, making sure all GrafPak and BackPak files had been removed from the HDD, reinstalling PA and successfully registering it. The Pak's are still acting up, and this time they can only have come from the PA installer.
The question then becomes, are these Pak's supposed to be fully licensed copies included in PA, or are they just trial versions, for demonstrating these features?

The way the licensing works for Production Assistant, the Pak's will work in trial mode for 30-days after which they require a license key to continue working. The Ultimate S Pro version of the Paks do not work this way. I assume that your Pak's never took the license but continued to work for 30-days.
Can you send me an email via this forum (just select my name here and then click on it again in my profile). I have changed some things about the way the licensing works for the next maintenance update to PA and I'd like to have you test this code and see if it fixes this particular problem.
I have exactly the same problem and I have not installed Ultimate S or any other “paks” than the “paks” that came with PA. So, when I get this message, should I enter my PA license code, or?
he he, sorry, but that exchange cracked me up, mainly because it for some reason it reminded me of this old list of supposed fault reports and technician replies in an airline:
P = The problem logged by the pilot
S = The solution and action taken by the engineers
P: Left inside main tire almost needs replacement.
S: Almost replaced left inside main tire.
P: Aircraft handles funny.
S: Aircraft warned to straighten up, fly right, and be serious.
P: Test flight OK, except auto-land very rough.
S: Auto-land not installed on this aircraft.
P: Something loose in cockpit.
S: Something tightened in cockpit.
P: Autopilot in altitude-hold mode produces a 200 feet per minute descent.
S: Cannot reproduce problem on ground.
P: Dead bugs on windshield.
S: Live bugs on back-order.
P: Evidence of leak on right main landing gear.
S: Evidence removed.
P: DME volume unbelievably loud.
S: DME volume set to more believable level.
P: Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick.
S: That's what they're there for.
P: IFF inoperative.
S: IFF always inoperative in OFF mode.
P: Suspected crack in windshield.
S: Suspect you're right.
P: Number 3 engine missing.
S: Engine found on right wing after brief search.
P: Target radar hums.
S: Reprogrammed target radar with lyrics.
P: Mouse in cockpit.
S: Cat installed.
P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.
S: Took hammer away from midget.
I have encountered the same behavior as described above, I tried the published solutions with no positive result.
In my case I originally installed the trial version some time ago but had no time to play with it. And now, when I was in need of some functions from it, it asked me to enter the license key, so I bought the license, entered the key and the PA itself started to work correctly but the associated packs are still asking for the license.
> I have US4. It will? or will not? work with Vegas Pro9 32bit? 64bit?
Yes it will. If you go to the VASST web site and look at the Ultimate S Pro page you will see that it states:
Supports Sony Vegas 6.0, 7.0 & Vegas Pro 8.0b, 8.1, & 9.0 32bit and 64bit (docking only available in Vegas Pro 8.0b or later).
You can go to the download page on the VASST web site to get the latest 4.1 version.
Since Vegas Pro Production Assistant and Ultimate S Pro share GrafPak-1 & 2 and BackPak-1, it is important to note that the GrafPaks & BackPak that ship with Vegas Pro Production Assistant require the Production Assistant license key to unlock while the GrafPaks & BackPak that ship with Ultimate S Pro requires the Ultimate S Pro license key to unlock. If you have both, the Production Assistant versions will take precedence. I'm thinking of changing this so that the last one you install takes precedence.
> Do you have any rough idea when that official update may be due?
Our testing here is complete. There is one customer that I need to hear back from to make sure it fixes a particular problem they had. Once that's confirmed fixed we will release it.
BackPak -01 licence expired!
So I have the same problems. Mostly annoying when I startup Vegas Pro 9.
Please help to solve the problem.....
Thanks Martin
